Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain advanced Aircrew Training Devices in support of daily customer training.

Perform duties as site or shift lead, including but not limited to scheduling technician shifts, conducting quality control inspections of work performed, and ensuring documentation is complete.

Repair and test, install, configure, upgrade and assist in the modification of simulators and training components, devices, hardware and software
Perform preventative maintenance and detailed inspections for pre-operations, post-operations and component handling of training devices, assemblies and components
Conduct functional tests of training device systems and monitors device instrumentation and bench mounted indicators
Document work performed.

Apply fundamental troubleshooting techniques and assists engineers in troubleshooting systems and support equipment
Interpret mechanical, electrical, and computer schematics.

Perform network and information system troubleshooting and maintenance
Perform maintenance on simulator spares and support equipment
Provide real-time, in-person support to the customer for scheduled operations, as required by the USAF training schedule.

Maintain spare inventories, and identify, purchase, ship and receive all listed parts.

Provide facility security and cleaning, and assist the Government Facilities Manager.

Work in a typical training device shop floor environment, in areas with risk of electrical shock.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Associate's Degree combined with 3
years of relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledgeable, trained and qualified in the program logistics support as well as the maintenance and operation of multiple types of training devices for both pilot and Special Mission Aircrew.

Apply knowledge and experience to solve complex device problems and support device modification and upgrade.

Min 3 years previous experience maintaining aircrew training devices (simulators), or experience in aircraft avionics / electronics.

Must have experience with computer operating systems, including Microsoft Windows 10.

Must have expertise with computer networks
Must be proficient in the use of test equipment
Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Must be able to lift 35 pounds
Must be able to walk or climb stairs and ladders
Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl on top or within training devices
Must be able to detect odors and hear noises, as well as be able to communicate via phone and radio
Must be able to distinguish colors
Must be willing and able to work one of three assigned shifts early, mid and late, as well as assigned overtime
Preferred
Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or 6 or more years related work experience
Microsoft Windows 10 Certification
Experience with visual and display systems, Cisco switches, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and Linux
CompTIA Security
